Review: Destined for An Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Blurb
Her deadly dreams leave her in grave danger
Since half-vampire Cat Crawfield and her undead lover Bones met six years ago, they've fought against the rogue undead, battled a vengeful Master vampire, and pledged their devotion with a blood bond. Now it's time for a vacation. But their hopes for a perfect Paris holiday are dashed when Cat awakes one night in terror. She's having visions of a vampire named Gregor who's more powerful than Bones and has ties to her past that even Cat herself didn't know about.
Gregor believes Cat is his and he won't stop until he has her. As the battle begins between the vamp who haunts her nightmares and the one who holds her heart, only Cat can break Gregor's hold over her. She'll need all the power she can summon in order to bring down the baddest bloodsucker she's ever faced . . . even if getting that power will result in an early grave.
First of all to those out there that have not read this series. What are you waiting on? This is one of my favorite series of all time. It has it all action, romance, suspense, and freaking amazing secondary characters. This is a continuation of the romance between Bones and Cat which had some unexpected complications in this book which they had to work through and finally did. But some of the things that happened to the secondary characters really blew me away. I am so hoping that her spin off book about Spike will not be the last one.
This book gets 5 diamonds from me cause this is an absolutely freaking amazing series. So please do yourself a favor and read them if you haven't
Review: Cold Moon Rising by C.T. Adams & Cathy Clamp
Blurb
He's Baaaaaack.
Hired killer Tony Giodone is back in action -- this time, believe it or not, working for the 'good guys.' Or should that be the 'not quite as bad guys?' He isn't sure. One thing is for certain, serving as a newly minted member of Wolven, the Sazi law enforcement agency, certainly does keep a guy busy. AND he gets to do what he does best. Kill things. Of course, Carmine doesn't plan to let Tony off the hook, particularly when he's attacked and nearly killed by the boys from the east coast.
Paired up with Ahmad al Narmer Tony's in danger up to his baby blues, which wouldn't bother him a bit, if his wife, Sue wasn't bound and determined to be a part of the action.
I love this series and was really excited to read that Tony and Sue were back. And Ms's Adams and Clamp did not disappoint. I think quite frankly this is the best book in this series to date. We learn lots more that I ever wanted to know about Ahmad but I guess he turned out to be an okay guy maybe lol. And they introduced several new characters and hopefully they have plenty more stories left in this series. Especially the new character needs her own story when she gets a bit older.
I give this book 4 1/2 diamonds and add my wishes for many more with this series.
