Book Tour and Giveaway: Kiss of the Winter Moon by Amanda Lemay

Kiss of the Winter Moon
(Sakana Series, Bk #1)
by Amanda LeMay

Blurb:

I had a life plan: Get out of San Francisco. Go home. Start my new job.

I wanted to get on with my life. Howl at the moon. Let my wolf side run wild and free.

But when I stopped in Comfort, Texas, to spend a quiet 2-week vacation with family, all of my best-laid plans came to a screeching halt.

I didn’t plan for Dain Louvel. Okay, so maybe I’d secretly hoped to see him, again, but I didn’t expect all those feelings I’d felt for him before to come rushing back and blindside me. I'd moved on. Or so I thought.

The problem is, I didn’t plan on the sakana bond, that rare and precious bond between mates, to connect our minds, bodies, and souls.

I also hadn't planned on fighting for my life.

But, yeah, stuff happens in Comfort, Texas. I really should've planned better.

Excerpt

I quickly glanced around my immediate surroundings and found the pipes my arms were strapped to had once been an old breeding stall, off to the side of a ramshackle barn. They would have been buried deep and anchored with concrete. Leather straps lined with lamb’s wool were buckled tightly around both of my wrists and I was sure the same thing had my legs spread and secured. If Bobby wanted to hurt me, it wasn’t through these cuffs. I looked down; three bales of hay stacked one on top of the other held me up off the ground. Damn. Even with my extra wolf strength, there was no way I’d ever pull the pipes from the ground.
I was definitely trapped.
The barn reeked of blood and death and decay. Humans had bled in this place. How many, there was no way of knowing, but there were multiple scents, not only of blood, but of rotting flesh buried under layers of earth. The stench of the horrific acts of a sick mind permeated the soil beneath me and I was sure if I’d swept away the litter of loose hay, I’d find the ground darkly stained. The sickening, sweet odor of dried blood seemed to hang in the air—soaking into my skin, twisting my insides, until the urge to vomit was so strong it took all my willpower keep it down.
I will not die here. Not like this. Not tied up like an animal

Sadie Carter
(Zerconian Warriors, #13)
Publication date: March 22nd 2018
Genres: Adult, Romance, Science Fiction
Since the day his family was murdered, Boris has been obsessed with vengeance. The last thing he needs in his life is a mate. Besides, what sort of female would want a scarred, crippled male who has taken a vow of silence? Nope, there is no room in his life for a female.
Then he meets Nassir.

Beautiful. Fragile. Distant. He wants to break through the barriers she keeps erecting to discover the real woman inside. Which might be easier if he wasn’t constantly pulling her out of danger.
On the run, hunted, and alone, Nassir knows she only has herself to rely on.
Until Boris comes back into her life. The dark one. The silent, watchful bodyguard whose gaze heats her from the inside out and whose touch drives her insane.
If only she knew whether he truly cared about her or just enjoyed kissing her. Then she might find the sort of happiness she’d been searching for her whole life.

EXCERPT:

“No! Get away from her!” She forced herself to her feet, plastering a fierce look on her face, trying to ignore the weakness invading her body. She pointed away from them. “Go! Get away.”
“But ssshe tasste ssso good.”
Oh no. No way.
She took a step closer to the creature. “She does not taste good. She tastes like fresh flooga poop.” And Nassir should know how bad that tasted.
“I think I’ve just been insulted.” Nassir made the mistake of moving her gaze off the creature to Zoey as the other woman sat, holding her hand to her head with a groan. “I know you’re just trying to defend me, but really? Flooga poo? God, I have a killer headache. Hope I had an amazing good night to go with this thumping headache. Too much Sola?”
Suddenly, Nassir realized that rather than moving on, the creature had decided to try his luck and lick Zoey again while Nassir’s attention was elsewhere.
“Eww, gross. Bad lizard, bad!” Zoey smacked her hand against the tongue. “Bad boy! Zoey is not a treat! Zoey is a person and she doesn’t like to be licked. Well, I guess that’s not entirely true, but an Empress isn’t allowed to be crude.”

Shifter Wars Promo and Giveaway by Kerry Adrienne

The shifter wars by Kerry Adrienne

Enter the world of USA Today Bestselling Author Kerry Adrienne’s Shifter Wars.  Bears, lions, wolves and more are in a war to control Deep Creek and the ancestral spirit that commands the Cave of Whispers…and all its secrets. Catch-up with the series today!

The Shifter Wars series in order:

WAKING THE BEAR
Sexy shifter passion is awakened when two unlikely lovers are challenged by secrets, danger and an unstoppable need to claim one's mate…
For human Amy Francis, the secluded cabin in Deep Creek is the haven she needs to map out a fresh new start. She never expected her heart to be reawakened by a distraction like Griff Martin, commanding yet gentle, too ferociously sensual to ignore. It's clear that patrolling the forest is more than a job to Griff—it's a means of survival. But what Amy doesn't realize is she's reawakened the beast within him.

Griff's dormant hunger is stirred by this intoxicating woman…and threatened by the secret she must never learn. Duty-bound to defend his bear clan against an avenging pride of lion shifters, Griff's entire world is upended when he meets Amy. His animal need to claim his mate has taken hold, but that very desire could seal her fate as an unwitting pawn in battle.

Now, as a shifter war looms, Griff must decide between letting Amy go or following his most carnal instincts. To have her would change his life…but risk everything he knows and was born to protect.

PURSUING THE BEAR
Bear shifters exist.
Professor Bria Lane has known this since she was a child.  Now she’s returned to the forests of Deep Creek to prove it to the world.  She has no idea how close she is to that proof in ruggedly sexy park ranger Derek Poole.  Intimately close. But uncovering Derek’s wild side comes with a shattering price.
Like a magnet meeting metal, Derek is drawn to Bria.  His destiny. His mate. So beautiful and so vulnerable. So dangerous, too: an encroachment of lions, vengeful and vicious, is closing in and they’re ready for war.  Now is not the time to be distracted like a lovesick cub.
If Bria reveals the truth of the Deep Creek shifters to the world, she’ll bring out the worst of both sides.  But Derek can’t hide his secrets from the love of his life forever.  He knows they’re playing with fire – and that when passion runs this hot, this reckless, someone’s bound to get burned.

SAVING HIS WOLF
Olivia, born blind and without the ability to shift, yearns to seek her own fate away from her watchful and devoted wolf pack. Vulnerable and stuck in human form, she's alone and at risk in the forest's brutal winter when she's rescued by a park ranger and taken to his cabin in Deep Creek. By the warmth of a crackling fire, she's comforted by his presence. But it's his rugged scent that stirs something in her she's never felt before.

Bear shifter Powell sensed the instant he held her that Olivia was his mate. He also knew she had the untapped powers to discover her true shifting nature—if only he could convince her to trust in him, and to believe in herself. Now the one thing that stands to threaten their healing mating hunger is Olivia's distrusting and vigilant pack. A pack prepared to do anything to get her back.

But there is no danger as strong, no desire so liberating as what Powell is bringing out in her—because Olivia can finally see where her destiny lies.

But the latest crusade has left Marco gravely wounded in enemy territory and in the hands of Alicia, healer for the bears. An irresistibly sensuous adversary, Alicia presents a serious problem. She carries the scent of a mate.
Drawn to this dominant master of his den, Alicia knows her allegiance has been compromised. His brooding sexuality is testing her defenses, but falling in love with Marco means falling in league with a rival shifter. And turning her back on the bears in a time of war is a lethal move.
Two breeds united by destiny could inspire a peaceful new future for their opposing clans—or ignite the fiercest battle yet and destroy all of Deep Creek forever.

Warmth blossomed beneath Katy’s skin, the all-too-vivid memory of how Priest’s muscles had felt beneath her palms and how his presence had enveloped her in a protective cocoon lifting to the height of her awareness.
And his scent. She pressed her knees together under the table and fought back a groan. She could still smell him on her. A mix of summer storm, leather and the deepest woods. Her voice came out softer, when she answered. Deep and husky. “That’s just attraction. A chemical response in the body.”
Jade grinned. “Is it?”
She’s mine.
The remembered words sluiced through her in the most exotic caress. Possessive at a level she both craved and railed against. She cleared her throat and laced her fingers together on the table, forcing a detached expression. “Priest said I was his before we left. What did he mean by that?”
Jade looked to Tate, a request for guidance without a word spoken.
Tate shook his head. “I can’t know for sure.”
“But you think you know.”
He hesitated, glanced at Alek as if gauging how well his temper was holding, then shifted his compassionate amber gaze back to Katy. “It’s not up to me to share. Priest will tell you.”
“But the way he acted...how he lost control,” Katy pressed. “Surely, you can see why I want answers.”
For the longest time, Tate merely studied her, consideration and concern marking his handsome features. “I do. It’s still something he should talk to you about, but I will tell you this.” He paused as though carefully considering his words, not just for her but for her brother who’d drawn scarily motionless beside her. “Of all the people who walk this Earth, there is no one safer than you.”

Interview and Giveaway: Shifter School by Gwendolyn Druyor

Shifter School
by Gwendolyn Druyor

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
GENRE: Urban Fantasy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BLURB:

She’s gonna get them all killed.

So they locked her away.

Laylea has been hiding her entire life. She’s never been to school. She’s never had a friend her own age. She’s never known anyone else like her.

All that is about to change.

In a world hidden from wyrdos and humans alike, shifters are still recovering from a vicious plot to destroy them all. They have two laws they live by now:

1) Hide

2) Protect the children at all costs.

Laylea has just broken rule number one. But she’s only fourteen. So they’re sending her to school. Where she’s going to learn . . .

Anyplace can be a prison.

The Lincoln Park Shifter School is not your grandma’s uber-secret, underground academy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EXCERPT
A long, shrill scream drew Laylea back into the zoo. The guard who didn’t want to be called Beta was backing away from a tall black man in jeans, a button-down, and Fox sandals.
“Kyle!” Laylea screamed his name even as she heard KC screaming hers. “Kyle! You’re a good man! Think of Jeannie and KJ!”
The vampire looked her way. His familiar, affable smile appeared and he waved at her. “We’re just gonna have a talk. Get back to school, you reprobate.”
Then the smile melted away as though it had never been and Kyle stalked out of sight.
“Lee, come on.” KC yanked her out the entrance.
“No,” She tried to pull away but KC was strong. “I have to help him.”
“No one can help that guy now.”
Tears poured down Laylea’s face. KC was right. If Kyle had already killed a pack of werewolves, Laylea wasn’t going to be able to stop him from killing one guard. But she had to try. She hadn’t spent the last seven months hiding him from Dee and Morioka and everyone else just to give up on Kyle now. “I can.”
She yanked her arm out of KC’s grip and they both fell on the uneven steps of the plinth.
top ten vacation spots Top Ten Places I’ve Lived
I don’t like to vacation. I love working. If I don’t love a job, I very quickly get out of it and move on. I get my travel fix by booking jobs and moving to new places. You can tell I’ve lived all over just from reading my books. The Mobious’ Quest series takes place in Kaveg (inspired by Amsterdam), Chicago, and Denver. WereHuman is in the Pacific Northwest. The Killer on Call books have been set in a small town inspired by the many diverse college towns I’ve toured to with four productions and they’re going on the road in the next six books!  Shifter School takes me back to my adopted hometown, Chicago!
I guess I can blame my Navy parents for my wanderlust. I was born in Rhode Island. Six months later we moved to Maine. Six years later we moved to Ohio. When I was sixteen, we moved to Illinois. (1 week after I got my driver’s license, I drove to Illinois and had to take driver’s ed all over again!) Once I got out of college, I really started travelling.
Here are my six favorite homes:
  1. Amsterdam, NL!  After three grueling days of auditioning, Pep Rosenfeld himself invited me to play with Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. I spent every day making people laugh. I got to work with Allison Silverman (The Colbert Report, The Unbreakable Kimmy Shmidt, Portlandia), Greg Scott Shapiro (Superburger, How to Be Orange), Peter Grosz (Late Night, Veep, The President Show), and Seth Meyers (Late Night with Seth Meyers). Plus, I got to LIVE IN AMSTERDAM! Every American should live outside of this country for a little while. I loved Amsterdam. I loved getting around on bicycle and learning a new language. I wrote much of my first book, Geoffrey’s Queen, in Amsterdam and most of the Kavegan language comes from Dutch. Kaveg MEANS Go away.
  2. Chicago, IL  I was not born there. I didn’t live there for very long. But when someone asks, I call Chicago my hometown. I lived in Rogers Park when The Matrix came out. The Wachowskis lived in Rogers Park when they wrote it! For one year, my cousin and I lived in separate studios on the same street right behind The Green Mill. Every Wednesday we went swing dancing there. One night, the band didn’t like the boys we were dancing with, so after their second set, they walked Julia and I home! It’s just a friendly town with tons of amazing experimental theater. If my mother-in-law didn’t live there, I’d move back in a heartbeat.
  3. Harrisburg, PA  I didn’t spend a LOT of time in this adorable little town with THE BEST breakfast spot anywhere. Which is extra hard to achieve when the smelliest business in town is the dog food factory. This is where we were based when I performed 14 roles in three Shakespeare-era shows with ten other actors, travelling the continent in three tiny vehicles. Shenandoah Shakespeare! A true adventure.
  4. Kennebunk, ME  Best place to spend the first six years of your life. We lived on the beach. I have probably eaten a truckload of sand. You had to hold on tight to your PB&J to keep it from the seagulls and sometimes they knocked you down. I don’t actually remember even attempting to brush off my sandwiches. Perhaps the sand is why I only eat SuperChunk peanut butter. My friends tell me about the joy of getting to go to McDonalds as a kid! My family went to the Maine Snack Bar. I’d get fried clams and French fries and then go next door for a Dilly Bar. On specialish occasions, we’d go to Shadrack and Gooch and get my idea of a happy meal. Lobster. Lobsters come with a toy too. If you take the claws off carefully, you can pull on the tendon to make the claw open and close.
  5. Lake George, NY  My first job out of college was dancing as a CanCan girl in upstate New York. The Great Escape in Lake George. An AWFUL job where I met some FABULOUS people. Upstate New York is just stunningly gorgeous but I am grateful I moved away before winter hit. The producers told me I wouldn’t need a car so I ended up rollerblading three miles to and from work every day through the Adirondack Mountains. I left that job with THE best ass.
  6. Los Angeles, CA  I moved West for Sex Signals, an absolutely stunningly funny and effective show aimed at preventing rape. I will forever be honored that I got to perform in this show with three of the most talented and passionate humans on earth. There are parts of L.A. that are exactly how you see it in movies and on TV. But there are also a hundred different little neighborhoods with their own personality. No one could explore them all. But we’ll keep working our way through the little local dives until I figure out where to go next.
I’m ready to go. LA is fun. I adore my friends here. But I’ve lived in one place for too long. It’s time to move on. Where should I go?
