Revenant by Larissa Ione
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
HELL HATH NO FURY . . .
For five thousand years, Revenant believed he was alone in the world, a fallen angel beyond any redemption. Now he finds he has a twin brother who had all the light and love Revenant was denied. Caught in a tug of war between Heaven and Hell, he must weigh his thirst for revenge against his desire for a mysterious female named Blaspheme—a female whose very origins could deliver him into salvation . . . or destruction.
LIKE AN ANGEL SCORNED
Blaspheme has a deadly secret: she's the forbidden offspring of an angel and a fallen angel. Hunted by both heavenly and satanic forces, she has survived only by laying low and trusting no one. When Revenant claims he can save them both, how can she possibly believe him? But the powerful angel is persistence incarnate and for Blaspheme, there's no place she can hide in Heaven or Hell where he won't find her .
Of the last few books in this series I think this was my favorite. I loved both the hero and heroine. Revenant got a raw deal but the way he treated Blaspheme was awesome. He has always thought he was a fallen angel and then he finds out that no he was not truly a fallen angel but is in fact an angel. Granted he's a angel with Satan's blood running through his veins and one that has been trying to be the biggest baddest fallen angel around but still an angel. And Blaspheme is a fake false angel who was always told she's a Vrym. A Vrym is a child of an angel and fallen angel. And since Vrym are hunted and killed by both sides she has had to hide from what she was with a spell which is wearing out and to redo it she has to make a sacrifice. And as a Doc she refuses to do that. As this book progresses both sides are trying to use the both of them in one way or other. And then Rev decides he'll do anything to keep Blas safe and in doing so he rocks this universe. And both Rev and Blas has a big surprise coming I am not going to say anymore since I don't want to spoil the ending but just saying it was fabulous. I give this book 5 stars and I bought it with my own hard earned money.
