Mummy's Little Angel is the first place winner of World's Best Story!
Joanne didn’t believe that her life could become worse than it already was. She had lost everybody and everything she had loved. She was alone. Surely she had suffered enough? The press had called her identical twins psychopaths. Her Maggie. Her Annie. But she still loved them, even though one of them had killed her husband, Jeff. Joanne believed that his murder had been an accident. How could one of her girls be a murderer? She knew them better than anybody else. They were good girls really.
She just had to prove it.
The brutal murder of her god-daughter Laura had never been solved. Items were missing when Laura’s remains had been discovered: clues that could lead to the capture of her killer. One of them was Laura’s doll … the doll that Joanne later discovered in her home. Joanne is facing the most horrific dilemma of her life. Has the wrong woman been imprisoned? Could her child have used such brutality against her best friend? Or could both women be innocent after all?
She needs to find somebody for her daughter to confide in; somebody she will trust. She needs a miracle. There is only one person who can help. He is compassionate and caring, with an amazing ability to gain the trust of the most difficult patients. He is Joanne's only hope. He is Jonathan Davies.
AUTHOR INTERVIEW
How did you do research for your book?
I watched
endless documentaries on twins and a series called Evil Twins. I studied the human mind in depth for a period of three
years which covered numerous mental and emotional conditions. Most research was
performed online, although I met and interviewed number of people as well.
Where do you get inspiration for your stories?
From books
I’ve read, people I’ve met, things that I’ve seen, and real-life experiences. I
must, however, thank James Patterson as it was his book, Along came a Spider that inspired me to write thrillers which
include psychopaths!
Do you have another profession besides writing?
Yes, I’m a
full time Company Director. My husband and I run a business where we help the
disabled population. We bespoke build adapted vehicles which enables these
wonderful people to see the world and be part of it too. It’s very rewarding
indeed.
Do you write every day?
In my
business capacity, yes and, when time permits, I write my novels. As crazy as it sounds, I tend to write more
in Autumn and Winter. I’m then like a woman possessed! I do my day-job, get
home, eat, and then write until bedtime. Very often, I will dedicate an entire
weekend to writing as well. I absolutely love it!
Favorite meal?
Lamb shank,
mashed potato, and Brussels sprouts. Red wine, cheese, biscuits and olives.
Delicious.
What’s the funniest thing that ever happened to you?
The funniest
and most embarrassing thing that’s
ever happened to me was when I was eighteen years old. I had a little
mini-skirt and thick, woollen tights and unbeknownst to me, I’d tucked the back
of my skirt into my tights, caught two buses to work, spent two hours in the
office wondering why my colleagues were giggling so much at me – then,
eventually realised what had happened. They were so mean!

Thank you so much for hosting the tour of Mummy's Little Angel and for publishing my interview. It's very much appreciated!
Honestly as a parent the idea of your children doing something like this makes me sick. Especially since we have 5 sets of twins in the three living generations of our family.
It's shocking Steph isn't it? The tragic thing is that these horrors can - and do happen and, in identical twin cases, very often, one is entirely manipulated and controlled by the dominant one.
The book trailer totally sold me!! This is right up my alley. :) Can't wait to read this!
Thanks Melissa. I really hope that you love the book as much as the trailer which is just touching on the story. Enjoy!
I'm definitely getting that James Patterson vibe from this. And since I love his books, you've got me hooked. Definitely going to read this over the weekend! You've totally sold me, literally. I just bought it. :)
Oh, thank you! James Patterson is my inspiation. His earlier books, Along came a spider, Jack and Jill etc enthralled me! The characters got under my skin and then I too started writing in a similar style. Hope that you enjoy the book!
I just finished reading Kiss The Girls a couple weeks ago, so I'm really in a James Patterson mood. And the Kindle Sample for your book immediately blew me away. Love your writing style! :)
Wow, thanks! There's a few scary surprises coming your way. Keep the lights on!
Because if the cover freaks me out I can only imagine what reading it will do
Pamk. Agreed. This cover delivers a clear message and a frightening one, agreed. Good versus evil. I love it!
