About
Colleen S. Myers:Colleen S. Myers was raised in a large catholic family in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she grew up on Harlequin teen romances and stories from her mother’s days as a paramedic. She went on to attend Allegheny College majoring in Biology and English.
After college, Colleen spent a year in service in the Americorp giving back to the community at a local Pittsburgh Women Infants and Children Clinic (WICC) before attending Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine on a military scholarship.
Upon completing medical school, Colleen attended residency at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and was on base in Washington, DC during 9/11. She earned three meritorious service awards from the military. After serving seven years of active duty, she promptly landed a position at the VA to provide fellow veterans with optimum medical care. Still an avid fan of romances into adulthood, her love of the genre inspired her to hone her craft as a writer, focusing on contemporary romance and science fiction. Her background in medicine and the military provides an inspiring layer of creative realism to her stories and characters.
Her first book, Must Remember, the first book in the Solum series, is published by Champagne Press. The sequel, Can’t Forget, coming in June 2016, is the recipient of the 2015 RWA New England Readers Award.
Colleen currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband and son, and spends her spare time writing. She is also working on a new contemporary romance.

Excerpt:
The snowball hit the back of my head dead-on. Bam.
I stumbled forward from the force of the blow. The flakes created
a halo of white powder around my head in the cool, crisp air then settled all
over my face and neck.
What the…oh no he didn’t. A growl rose in my throat. I turned to
confront my foe. I creased my eyebrows and I glared at him, mean-like.
With a smug expression on his face, Marin stared back, tossing
another snowball between his hands.
“Elizabeth, you appeared distracted. I wanted to help.” His voice
was smooth, deep like aged rum, and echoed in the unique way of his people, the
Fost, almost like he was being dubbed. The sound got me every time causing me
to shiver, or maybe it was the snow dripping down my back.
“That was helping?” My ass.
“Yes, you were about to walk into a tree,” he said dryly, dropping
his ammunition.
I whipped around. Sure enough, a tree loomed in front of me.
Dark-gray bark, feathery fronds interspersed with lethal spikes, blue moss
climbing its trunk. Yep, that was a tree. Well for here anyway, not like on
Earth.
I glanced back at Marin, who stood so trustingly under the boughs
of another nearby tree laden with snow. A smile tugged at the corner of my
mouth. See, I could help too. He looked hot, literally and figuratively.
“Okay, thanks.”
With a thought, my power twisted deep inside, and I sent out a
burst of air through the branches. They shuddered in response and unloaded
their cold, wet contents on Marin’s head with nary a sound.

Blog Tour: Supernatural Freak by Louisa Klein
When paranormal expert Robyn Wise is offered an outrageous sum of money to cure a boy who is turning into a dead tree, she's very sceptical. A politician ready to pay that much to make his son stop growing branches instead of hair? Come on! She's more likely to be abducted by aliens. This is a trap. Or much worse. And, of course, it's much worse. The child is turning into a dark portal, created by a powerful entity determined to absorb Fairyland's power. This means that not only queen Titania and her court are in danger, but the very balance of the magic fluxes.
Robyn'd rather stick a pencil in her own eye but, to learn how to destroy the portal, she has to sneak into the Wizardry Council, a place full of wizards who are hiding something—though it’s certainly not their dislike of her.
There, she discovers a terrible secret that could help to overthrow Fairyland's enemies for good, but puts her in the midst of an ancient and deadly war, and not as a bystander, but as the main target.
Top 7 Facts the author wants readers to know about
Supernatural Freak
1) In early
2009, I dreamt about a boy turning into a tree. The dream was kind of blurry
and it left me with a lot of questions: who was the boy? What kind of spell was
transforming him? The answers were that the boy was the son of a very powerful
person, like a prominent politician, and that the tree was actually a dark
portal. Still, I was clueless about the boy’s saviour. She came to me in
another dream, a few weeks later. She wore old jeans and snickers, was skinny
and didn’t look like much but God if she could fight! I had found my heroine.
2) I started
writing Supernatural Freak right after I broke up with my long-term boyfriend.
He insisted I wasn't good enough to write a book and I was very eager to prove
him wrong.
3) My ex and I lived together. Once I broke up with him I
was homeless and could afford only to live in shared houses. I moved six times
while I was writing the book, dragging around not only my regular luggage but
what I called my 'supernatural bag', which was an old, huge satchel filled with
notebooks and chaotic pieces of papers containing the first draft of my first
book.
4) I wrote the majority of the first part of Supernatural
Freak in a Star Bucks, two blocks away where I was living. My favourite table
was the one near the window, since I hate artificial light and said window was
huge. After a while Linda, a mature waitress working there started calling it
my "writing table". Whenever I showed up, she would wink at me and
say: "Your writing table is free, love, hurry up!". She ended up
being my very first fan, she was the very first person who downloaded
Supernatural Freak from Amazon ... THANK YOU, LINDA!
5) I am
allergic to a number of substances and one of them is alcohol. I can drink only
a very limited amount of it, like half a glass of wine, not more, or I get very
sick. Nevertheless, when I finally finished Supernatural Freak, I was so
excited that I invited my flatmates to the pub and 'get drunk'. I mean,
finishing my first book was the biggest accomplishment of my life, so screw my
allergies! For once, I wanted to be like anyone else. That's why I ordered a
whole pint of beer which was, well, kind of daring. Reckless. OK, just plain
crazy. What happened is that I drank the beer and then ... Who knows. I have a
blurry memory of me vomiting into the pub's toilet and then nothing. All I
know, is that I woke up in my bed the next, with the mother of all hangovers. I
had to deal with a massive headache and sickness for over a day and with being teased
by my flatmates for the rest of my life. I had become the joke of the house, my
flatmates all being strong drinkers! Bottom line is: to celebrate the release
of Supernatural Fog, I went to the cinema and drank a coke!
6) Martino,
Robyn’s scruffy smallish dog, really existed: He was my rescue dog. I say ‘was’
because he sadly passed away last February. Martino was the kindest, most
sensitive, the bravest and most profound person I’ve ever met. I say ‘person’
because he was much, much more than human. He died after having fought all his
life against a painful chronic condition which was the result of him being by a
criminal when he was a puppy. I had the honour to spend ten years with him and
to grow-up with him by my side, he was and always will be my forever
inspiration.
7) The character of Susan, a prominent and powerful witch
who’s one of Robyn’s best friends, is very much inspired by children author and
illustrator Suzy Jane Tanner (http://www.suzy-jane.com), a very talented and
kind lady who sort of adopted me since I moved to the UK for good.

CHAPTER 1
Stood up by the shaman
Faced with being alone in the middle of nowhere at night, the true
Londoner doesn’t lose her head but takes a deep breath, smoothes her jacket,
and goes in search of a bobby or a black cab. Only foreigners freak out in such
circumstances. Londoners, on the other hand, being the most British of all
British people, never ever freak out. Still, when you are a paranormal expert
who’s in a deserted area of the Docks and are supposed to heal a werewolf with
the aid of a shaman who hasn’t shown up, I’m afraid the only reasonable
reaction is to…
“Run!” Mr Wilson growls, getting worryingly hirsute. He has a point. A
skinny girl in her twenties is no match for a werewolf, and I don’t think that
telling him I’m a dog person would make much of a difference. Trouble is that
he’s standing between me and my car, so my only option is to run in the
opposite direction. My feet sink into the sand of the Thames’ shore, the river
a creepy black ribbon untouched by the full moon’s rays. It takes what looks
like ages to cross the sand and reach the building site a hundred yards away. I
should have never trusted that damn shaman. How could I have been so stupid? A
long howl fills the air. My client has now fully transformed. In a second he
will pick up my scent and hunt me down.

Questions:
1. If you could have three folks to dinner living, dead, real, or imaginary who would the be and why?
Jane Austen—because I find it inspiring that she was a woman author in a time when women authors were so against the norm. JK Rowling—because she’s a creative genius and I would love to learn about her creative process. And Damon Salvatore—so we could fall in love and so I could convince him to turn me into a vampire.
2. Other than your books what was your favorite book last year?
I’ve recently been devouring the Shade of Vampire series by Bella Forrest. I’ve read the first seven of the main series, and the Kiev spin off trilogy. I’m trying to read some other books on my to-read list before throwing myself back into the series, since the series is 25+ books long and growing, so it’s a big time commitment!
3. What is your drink of choice?
Chardonnay. (Which is white wine, for all you non-wine drinkers out there.)
4. Is there any genre you've not been pubbed in that you'd like to be?
Vampires! I’ve LOVED vampires since I was eleven, which was when I read In the Forest of the Night by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. I actually have an idea for a vampire series. I’m likely going to write it after the Elementals series is complete. (I’ve always held off on writing vampires because everyone said that publishers aren’t looking for vampire books anymore. But now that I’m back into indie publishing, I can write whatever I want. So… yay, vampires! J)
5. If you went to con like Comic-con what would you dress up as?
Ohhh I’m going to Comic-con in Miami this summer! It’s listed in my appearances section on my website. It’s four days long, so I can wear a few costumes. I ordered a Rey costume, and it arrived today, so hopefully it fits and looks good! (I’m a HUGE Star Wars fan and Rey is my favorite Star Wars protagonist yet.) I’m also going to dress as a Greek goddess for one of the days to tie in with the Elementals series. Maybe Daenerys (Khaleesi) for one of the other days, since lots of people tell me I look like her. Although, the white/blonde wig would probably get annoying. Eh… knowing me, by day three or four I’ll be sick of wearing strange clothes, and I’ll just throw on black jeans and a black top and call myself a Shadowhunter
Michelle Madow writes fast-paced YA (young adult) fiction that will leave you turning the pages wanting more!

My fingers ached with the need to touch him. “Thank you. It’s beautiful.” I glanced away and then back. “You didn’t have to get me anything for my birthday. Besides, my birthday isn’t for another couple days.”
“I wanted to get you something that would remind you of me.” His lips curled up into a small smile.
My body craved to be touched by him, and as if he sensed my need, he suddenly leaned in, putting his nose against my neck. My lips parted as his alluring aromatic scent of expensive cigars, sandalwood, and rich earth wafted around me. I almost dropped my glass before carefully placing it on the table with trembling fingers.
He leaned away, and when he pulled a small plate over in front of me, his arm brushed the side of my breast.
Scooping a teeny portion of truffle mac and cheese onto a plate, he dug into it and held out a forkful. “Here, open up for me, darling.”
Butterflies fluttered in my stomach. “You do know I’m not a two-year-old?” I countered.
But there was something sexy about him feeding me, and it aroused my senses and body.
“Open your mouth, Hope,” he demanded in a voice that was low, seductive.
My breath quickened. Well… if you insist.
My lips parted, allowing him to slide the fork inside. Damn, it is good—in every fucking way possible.
