Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon - A Review
Product Description
At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.
Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.
But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.
As if starting high school isn't hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?
I have heard mixed reviews about this book and finally broke down and bought it. If you've already read the dark hunters novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon this book turns that world up on its ear. This means what you thought you know will be changing and I liked it. There were lots of old favorite characters that were way younger than what you've always seen them as. Tabitha, Kieran, and Ash are only a few that showed up in this book. And OMG Bubba is a hoot. I haven't laughed so much reading a book in a while. I am so looking forward to the next one. This book was also one big thrill ride what with zombies, daimans, and plenty of teen angst to go around. And Hot dayumn Simi finally got to break out the bbeque sauce.
I give this book 5 stars and it makes my must read. I'll let you know what my 1-4 and 20 yr old thinks since they both want to read it since I laughed my way through it.
