This is the first book I've read by this author and it was a very interesting take on vampires. I liked the world she created and the characters especially Kristin. I thought she was one smart tough cookie. It seems that we learned more about her and not as much as about Julian and especially Alex. I thought that Kristin living a past life and knowing them as Calista added interest to the story. When I read the blurb for this book I started reading this with certain expectations but Stacey flipped that around on me. I was completely surprised with some of outcomes at the end of this book. After reading this to the end I would have liked to learn more about the bad guy. He just seemed so one dimensional and I think we got little bits of the story and I'd like to have learnt the reasoning behind some of his issues in more depth. One of the things that irked me about this book was the way Gina who was Kristins BFF when she was Calista acted about her daughters death. As a mom I don't think I'd even remotely have acted like that. But it was a great world, interesting story, and even those I had issues with a couple of the characters I give this book 3 1/2 stars I received this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read My Blood Runs Blue. You will actually learn quite a bit about Damon in Book 4 when it is released.
