I loved Rachel Vincent's Stray series and was absolutely tickled when I learned that she was continuing with this world. And I am so glad that it contained Abby. I hated what was done to her in the Stray series. In this very short story we get a glimpse of how she is faring now and I was pleased that even though she was still having nightmares and flashbacks she is getting better. I also like that we get a glimpse of Jace and I am impatiently waiting for another full size story of theirs which is coming February 23. I bought this with my own money and I can't wait till Lion's Share releases.

Review: Want Me by Cynthia Eden

This is the 2nd book in her Dark Obsession Series and I personally think this one is the best of the bunch so far. Normally to me the 2nd book isn't as good as the first but in this series this was totally not the case. It was quite the opposite actually. As always the heat index between her characters Lex and Sophie was off the charts. I love to read suspense booka and though I usually think the suspense in Ms. Edens books is a little on the light side this one was different. Usually I am spot on in my guess on who the bad guy is. But in this book there was a time that she had me second guessing myself. But in the end I totally got it. I am hoping I know who the hero and heroine in the 3rd book are but will have to wait a little while to find out darn it. I must say that the prologue in this book squicked me out. That is my word for something that icks me out and sends chills up my spine. I give this book a soft 4 1/2 stars but rounding it down to 4 since we can't do 4 1/2. As always Ms. Eden delivered a good solid fun read but that is her norm. I was given this book via Netgalley for a fair and honest review.

Review: All of Me by Lisa Renee Jones

I loved the way Chris and Sara's story wrapped up. The wedding was fabulous and I liked seeing the other what I call members of their family. Most of my questions were answered and I was left with just enough not answered that I will need to read Ella's, Mark and Crystal's, and of course definitely Tristan's stories. Like I wasn't going to already lol. Also liked that the Walker boys were intertwined with this series. Need to catch up on that series now. So many books so little time. May have to take a vacation just to read. I was given this book by Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review and I give this one 5 stars.

I liked this book. I didn't love it but I didn't loathe it either. The romance was fantastic as usual in her books. But the suspense was a little lacking. I nailed who done it the 2nd time I saw him in the story. But I am usually pretty good at figuring out the bad guy. The one thing in this book that made me give it four stars vs. five was that Chance was a tad too focused on who he thought was the bad guy until it almost cost him his lady and his life. And all this because Gwen had sleep with this guy. If you like lite suspense heavy with romance that is a fast good read please give this series a try. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This book wasn't my first book that I've read by Rhyannon Byrd but it was the first in this series. It was also the first Harlequin I've read in a while and I was pleasantly surprised. It was well written with a touch of heat and a fully fleshed out story. Even with it being the 7th book in a series I wasn't lost nor did I feel left out. The villain was more one-sided than I would like but that could be because these are smaller books and have to conform to certain size requirements. My other problem is that there are six more I want to read lol. But that is a good problem to have. I was given this book in exchange for a fair and honest review by Netgalley.

At first this book was a tad confusing because there were quite a few story lines going on at once. There is Evie's ability and her dealing with it which is sort of a lie/danger detector and the fact that she's of "royal" blood in the hunter society and by hunter I mean not the nice one that hunts the bad "Myth's" they are hunter's who loathe all myth's good bad or indifferent. Also one of her friends is a witch who is keeping tabs on her and two of her other friends that are of "royal blood" too. And last but not least is her stalker Dan and her new love interest which happens to be a vampire. And poor Evie is dealing with all of this at once has her going in circles at times but she handles it very well most times. By the time I got close to the end of the book I was truly enjoying it. This is a new to me author but I would definitely read more by her.
I have one complaint and even though I don't do spoilers or try not too anyhow I just want to say if you don't like cliffhangers then this is not for you because it definitely does leave hanging rather abruptly. Even so I it was a good read so I am going to give it 4 stars. I am not a patient person so I am itching to read the next one but I guess I'll be waiting until the summer.

I believe this is one of my favorite Gin books. When Gin goes to take down the villain in this one she is in for the fight for her life. But she has to do it since that witch is going after her family. And nobody hurts her family. I like Owen in this one even though there is little of him in the book it shows that he really cares for Gin. Also it shows that Gin's family is there for her.
The consequences of the showdown through me. I think we'll see more about that in the next book. I keep hoping that things will settle down for Gin but I know that if they do I'll miss the action. I give this book 5 stars and I received it from Netgalley for a fair and honest review. And I am going to be anxiously waiting for the next one.
